Behind the Track: The Story of "Dancing on Glass"

Hi everyone! 💜

I have some exciting news—my new song, "Dancing on Glass," is coming out in exactly 7 days! While we count down the days to the release, I really wanted to jump on here and share the story behind it. I just felt like sharing why exactly I wrote this specific song and how it all came together.

You know that feeling when you're trying so hard to be "perfect," but you keep stumbling? When your shoes are scuffing the floor, and the whole situation feels like a beautiful disaster? That's exactly the moment where this song was born.

For a long time, the mirror felt like a cage. I looked into it and only saw a list of things to fix to meet everyone else’s expectations. But one day, I just got tired of smoothing out all the rough edges.

"Perfectly broken, perfectly me, this is the noise that sets me free..."

This song is a manifesto for our imperfections. It's about that moment when you decide to forget the "perfect beat," let a little chaos and "static" in, and embrace that these are the things that make us real. I laugh too loud, I move in jagged lines at my own wild pace—and yes, I’m literally dancing on broken glass. And you know what? It is incredibly liberating.

We are all a little broken, but our shards can catch the neon light and shine brighter than any flawless mirror.

Thank you for being on this journey with me. Mark your calendars for next week, embrace your mistakes, and let this "imperfect life" begin. Oops! 😉

With love, Violet Noise.
